Fabricated PVC Backwater Valves from Macon Plastics are designed to help prevent fluids from re-entering drainage systems.  A properly installed backwater valve works as a one way system in which the liquid goes out - but not back in. Unidirectional flow through the valve is created by an interior flap that freely opens during outflow, and is trapped closed if backflow occurs.

The product can not only ensure one-way flow in drain lines, but can eliminate backup when water rises. Both ends fit over Schedule 40 DWV pipe.

These guys met playing pick-up games at New Brunswick Christian Church more than 6 years ago, and recently they played as a team called Hoops & Heroes to benefit Sylvia’s Child Advocacy Center in Boone County, Indiana.

Drainage Solutions Inc. sponsored the team for the 7 ^th annual basketball fundraising tournament at Lebanon Middle School, where the Hoops & Heroes Team took second place.

Sylvia’s Child Advocacy Center (SCAC), Inc. is a nonprofit organization created in 2010 to serve Boone and Montgomery counties.  The mission of Sylvia’s Child Advocacy Center is to meet the needs of children and families in our community by providing a community based, child focused center that facilitates a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach to the prevention, identification, investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse.

There are over 500 Children’s Advocacy Centers worldwide, 297 of which are connected via membership with the National Children’s Alliance, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to assist communities seeking to improve their responses to child abuse by establishing and maintaining Children’s Advocacy Centers.
