A culvert has been defined as “Any structure not classified as a bridge which provides a waterway or other opening under a road. ¹ Culverts typically convey streams or small flows of water under embankments that are usually topped by roadway surfaces.

Corrugated steel pipe is available in a variety of thicknesses, lengths and coatings. The pipe is manufactured to the latest LRFD AASHTO and ASTM specifications. These products are used extensively in flood control, drainage, and storm water systems because steel is reliable, traceable, sustainable, and strong.

Arch pipe serves to handle maximum flow in a culvert where traditional round pipe can’t fit.  Arch pipe (a.k.a. “squash pipe”) has been “squashed” into a lower, wider configuration, but with the same capacity as round pipe. For example, a Helical or Riveted 66” round steel pipe has an equivalent pipe-arch with a 77 inch span and a rise of 52 inches.
The squashing enables the pipe to handle the same amount of GPM in the small, unforgiving space.  With arch pipe, flow isn’t disrupted, and the necessary amount of cover can still be laid for structural integrity.
Choose from round or arch shapes in a range of wall thicknesses, coatings, and lengths.  A variety of corrugations are also available in order to meet H20 & E80 live loads. Ask about options for smooth interior pipe too. 317-346-4110.

These user friendly products can be placed during pipe installation or retro-fitted around existing pipe.  Made of durable ¼” High Density Polyethylene, Scheib Anti-Seep Collars are pre-cut and drilled with stainless steel bolts and bands.

Scheib Anti-Seep Collars are constructed in 4’ x 4’, 5’ x 5’ and 6’ x 6’ sizes and they can be used with Corrugated Plastic, PVC, and Steel pipe. Size options include those for 2” pipe all the way up to 48” O.D.
